The BLC is held on March 24, 2023, at MDP in Room R124. The conference starts at 8 am and ends at 4 pm. We do have our keynote speaker and Border crossing award winner at lunch time. The Conference has been happening for 22 years, face-to-face and online, with about 100 -150 attendees and presenters from the border universities and colleges such as UTEP, NMSU, EPCC, school districts, etc.
The BLC provides presentations, practical teaching demonstrations, roundtable discussions, and forums that cover issues along the border. Workshop presenters bring their concerns and expertise to a dynamic program that presents best teaching practices and explores issues particular to the vibrant culture of our U.S. – Mexico border.
In addition, it was a great honor for all the educators in the region to participate and show case their findings in border that makes teaching and learning more suitable for our students and Hispanic community. More than 100 people have already signed up to attend, in addition to the keynote speaker, Borders Crossing award winner and 10 presenters. Please see the attachment for more information.
